Parish Community Groups & Events

Please feel welcome to join or participate in any of the following groups. If you would like any information contact the Parish Office on 6242 9622

Parish Pastoral Council:
Meets on the second Wednesday of the month at 7.30pm in the Church Meeting Room, Burdekin Ave Amaroo.

Care Group:
The care group provides pastoral care to the parish community by welcoming new parishioners, providing meals for people in times of crisis, providing transport to and from Mass, acknowledging the support of the parish where there has been sickness or death and assisting, if required, with catering at funerals.

St Vincent De Paul Society:
Meets every Tuesday evening at 7:00pm in the Church Meeting Room, Burdekin Ave Amaroo. New members always welcome.

Mothers Group:
For parents and children 0-5 years. Meets on the 1st and 3rd Thursday morning of the month.

Seniors Group:
The seniors group meets on the last Thursday of the month between 9:15am and 10:45am in the Holy Spirit School Parish Church for an anointing Mass followed by morning tea. Occasionally the group meets for a meal. If you would like to join us call the parish house on 6242 9622.

Youth Group:
Youth group is run for youth by youth with supervision and support offered by the parish team and parents. Our focus is on gathering as a group, being open to listening and including one another, and having fun through organised games.

A Youth Mass is generally held on the first Sunday of the month at 5:30pm. If you would like to sing or play an instrument, please speak to Anne Eade at the Youth Mass.

Youth Group runs after Mass from 6:30 through to 8:00pm with a reflection from 8.00pm to 8.30pm for anyone that would like to stay, in the Good Shepherd Hall, Burdekin Avenue, Amaroo.

All high school age students are welcome, and any parent supervisors would be greatly appreciated.  Please contact the Parish home at 6242 9622 for further information  .

Women's Fellowship Group

Meets 7:30pm on last Thursday of the month in the Church Meeting Room, Burdekin Ave Amaroo.

Prayer Chain:
A Prayer e-Chain is available. If you have a prayer request or would like to be placed on the e-Chain please see the parish newsletter for details.

Passionist Family Groups:
The aims of the Passionist Family Group Movement are to:
- Get to know the other members of the Parish
- Support each other, sharing each others joys and sorrows and so building the Christian Community as in the early Church.
- Involve our children in our Christian living, directly if possible; if not then indirectly by our example
